top money saving tips fiorelli purse red

As an apprentice on quite a low wage, I've become pretty good at getting the most out of my money. Of course, there is no way to just get cash from doing nothing guaranteed (I wish!), but there are several ways you have a chance to.  There are a few things I always make sure to do in order to keep benefiting from my wages, so I've put together a short guide of my top tips to either make money, get money back or save money!

Mental Health: Dealing With Depression

Mental Health Dealing With Depression

Depression affects 1 in 5 people at some point during their lives. Even though their symptoms vary in severity, they're still just as important to treat as one another. I've personally suffered with depression for a good 4 or 5 years and I can honestly say it's so difficult to deal with. Over the years, I've been to counseling as well as picked up some of my own coping techniques so I'm hoping they'll be able to help someone else out too.

The Power of Clickbait...

the power of clickbait

As mentioned in my previous blog post, I had quite a shocking experience at the Beauty Bay event yesterday. I've had tonnes of great feedback from others who were at the event who agreed with my opinion and were glad that the anger that they felt was heard. However, some people who weren't there didn't quite understand how bad the event was. To get the message across, I decided to do a little experiment and used a ridiculous clickbait title which myself and Lyndsay came up with on the way back home. Here's what I found out...

Beauty Bay Tried To Kill Me!

Beauty Bay Jeffree Star Manny MUA Event

Beauty Bay, Jeffree Star, Manny MUA. If you're a makeup fan, you'll probably have heard these names. In fact, chances are that you'll have recently heard about the meet and greet events being organised across the UK to celebrate the launch of their collaboration collection. Myself and my friend Lyndsay decided to attend the Manchester one today, but oh fuck was that a bad idea...

Lush: The Shower Edition

lush comforter shower cream and rub rub rub shower scrub

As a huge Lush fan, there's quite a few bath bomb and bubble bar reviews on my blog. I've had a few Lush shower products lying around so I thought I'd switch it up a little bit and do a little review on them instead! Most people opt for a quick shower to freshen up rather than a bath, but why not pamper yourself in the morning to get your day off to a good start? The Lush Comforter Shower Cream and the Lush Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub are the best way to do that.

My Worst Beauty Bad Habits

beauty bad habits dry shampoo makeup mascara

Us girls like to pretend that we have our beauty routines perfected and we stick to them religiously. However, unless its an eyebrow shaping appointment, I don't believe for a second that every single gal who acts this way actually sticks to these rules. Even though I know exactly how to keep things looking as flawless as possible, I can rarely be bothered to put the effort in to do it every. single. time. Since January is all about motivating yourself to become a better version of you, I thought I'd share my slobbish beauty bad habits with you all. Hopefully, I may realise how gross these things are when looking back on this post and break the worst habits! If not, I may help someone else feel a little better about their lack of routine and realise that nobody really keeps it up all the time without fail.

The Quay Hotel & Spa, Conwy

The Quay Hotel & Spa Conwy

Last week, myself and Matt decided to book ourselves a nice little last minute break to Wales during our time off work. After searching for a good deal on Booking.com, we came across a beautiful 4 Star gem, The Quay Hotel & Spa in Conwy. We took a quick look through the absolutely divine imagery, fell in love with the idea of a visit here and booked it straight away. If you're thinking of taking a trip to Conwy and need somewhere to stay, it's definitely worth taking a look at here! Our visit just couldn't go unmentioned here on the blog, and you can find out more about our two night stay below...

Why I Began Blogging

why I began blogging

Back in August 2015, I managed to land myself an amazing apprenticeship working as a Social Media Marketing Assistant. Throughout the following months, my team evolved and changed quite dramatically, naturally resulting in a little bit of a job change, one of which I couldn't be happier with. Around this time, I was asked to attempt to write a blog post for one of our websites, helping me to discover how much I enjoyed writing. My role gradually became more content focused and before I knew it, I was writing blog posts every day. However, that's just the beginning of the story...

Mental Health: Dealing With Anxiety

dealing with anxiety mental health dreamcatcher and inspiring quote

From a young age, I was always the 'quiet kid' who never spoke up and was always quite shy. As I began to grow up, everyone around me seemed to become more confident, but for some reason, I just couldn't muster up the courage to do simple things like speak up in class or make eye contact during conversation. Growing tired of feeling low and unable to do simple things, I took a trip to my GP and ended up having counselling sessions for a fair few months. Of course, I'd always advise to seek out help for a more personal approach to dealing with anxiety, but I've taken a few of the top ways from my sessions for dealing with anxiety and explained in a little bit of detail below. If you feel you just need a little boost or in need of some tips whilst waiting to speak to someone, these should be able to provide a little bit of relief!

#BeautyMyths: The Dupes Edition

Dupes product image jeffree star
Everyone has splashed the cash on a rather expensive product as a ‘one-off’, only to discover how much they love it and can’t bear to change their routine to skip using it. When you get yourself in that predicament, the google search for dupes is inevitable. However, not all dupes deliver as promised and you can be left feeling deflated and wanting to continue splashing the cash on the designer product, even though your purse is quietly whimpering with despair… I’ve taken a few of my absolute favourite high-end product investments, switched them out with some high-street dupes which were recommended online and put them to the test to see if they really cut the mustard.

Why Art Is So Important...

why art is important art tools
Ever since I was little, being creative has always been something I’ve enjoyed. I could sit drawing, painting and making things for hours. Over the years, a lot of things have changed, but the passion for art and creativity has never subsided. Sometimes I’m too busy with other things to have chance to sit and draw, paint or write, but I still love doing it. I never really thought about it too much until recently, but I was curious as to why I love art so much so I did some thinking and I’ve finally figured out why…
