Riverside Inn: Cheshire

The Riverside Cheshire Inside

Over the past few months, there's one place which I have been visiting increasingly regularly for food and each time I visit, I'm even more impressed. Not too far from Weaverham there is a little pub called Riverside Inn in Cheshire and what first attracted me to visit was the 2 for 1 offer on all meals (can't say no to free meals!). Anyway, after several visits and no doubt many more, I thought that now is about time to write a good old blog post on it so here goes...

The Food Review

My most recent visit was just last week with Matt as I was apparently 'too dressed up' to visit The Chesterway (oops). We both stared at the menu for so long trying to decide what to have because it all sounded so amazing, but in the end I opted for lamb chops and he chose the barbecue chicken and ribs.

The presentation of the food when it arrived was so nice as you can see by the photo and I love how they put all of the condiments into little packets, bowls and dishes so you can eat your meal to your preference.

As it wasn't me who ate the barbecue ribs, chicken, chips and corn, there's not really much I can say about it. However, I know that Matt really enjoyed it and he said it was one of the nicest meals he's ever had and that there is no doubt that it would be an option to order again. The only problem he did have was a personal preference when he asked for ketchup (no, I don't know why with BBQ but yeah) he was given a little pot like the kind you are given in McDonald's, it would have been better in a bottle but definitely not a deal breaker with the meal quality.

When my lamb chops arrived, I was so excited as I hadn't eaten all day. I poured the gravy and homemade mint sauce over my plate and tucked in straight away! The vegetables were literally cooked to perfection and I was surprised that my new potatoes weren't dry in the middle because I didn't put the butter onto them. I ordered my lamb chops medium-rare and they tasted absolutely delicious - I couldn't have asked for better, it was amazing!

Overall, I would recommend a trip to Riverside Inn in Cheshire as it's definitely worth a visit, especially with the crazy reasonable price range and before I finish this post, its best for me to include one last special.
A few days before I had visited with my parents on the Sunday to get their carvery. I chose beef for my meat and piled up my plate as high as I could with all of the extras! The carvery is available on both Wednesday and Sunday only. I also ordered the chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream which was really nice and I loved the little gold decorations on it, it really topped it off (literally)!
